When you make a loan of $25 or more through this campaign, you’ll receive a free $25 credit in your Kiva account. When the credits are repaid, the funds will be returned to Kiva to be used in future Kiva lending campaigns.
How to get started
The first 10,000 people who make a loan of $25 or more through the campaign can receive a $25 Kiva credit after the campaign (on or around October 17th) to be used towards making another loan on the Kiva.org website (“Offer”). Offer begins September 30th, 2016 and ends October 10, 2016 (“Offer Period”). Offer is limited to one per person. Kiva credit is valid until December 31, 2016.
In order to receive this Offer, a participant must: a) enter the campaign microsite through the URL in campaign communications, and b) complete a loan to an entrepreneur, in the amount of $25 or more on the Kiva.org website during the Offer Period, but no later than October 10, 2016 at 11:59:59 PDT.
A $25 Kiva credit will be emailed to the first 10,000 participants by Kiva on or around October 17th, 2016, along with redemption instructions.*
The additional $25 Kiva credit is being provided by PayPal’s Corporate Advised Fund. The credit must be used to make a loan to a borrower outside of the U.S. The credit is not tax-deductible; and if repaid, is repaid to PayPal’s Donor Advised Fund at Kiva, not the participant’s account. The participant’s selection of a borrower is not binding nor does it guarantee that the borrower selected by the user will receive the loan. Kiva does not guarantee repayment of loans made on the Kiva.org site. Loans are available where Kiva services are provided, see their terms of use on the Kiva website.
PayPal and Kiva reserve the right to cancel, suspend or modify part or this entire Offer at any time without notice, for any reason in their sole discretion.
*Note: these terms and conditions were changed on October 6th. Due to technical issues, participants eligible to receive the $25 Kiva credit will no longer be required to enter their email address into the pop up (lightbox) in order to receive their credit. Instead, Kiva will email credits to participants eligible to receive the $25 Kiva credit using the email address associated with their Kiva account.
